Kinshasa, January 22 nd, 2019 (CPA).- The National Front (FN) welcomed on Tuesday the change of position of the African Union (AU) vis-à-vis the election of the new President, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, has said Tuesday in Kinshasa, during an interview with the CPA, the coordinator of this political party, Jute Kikufizia.
« The AU understood that the DRC is an independent and sovereign state, » said Jute Kikufizia, before congratulating the country’s authorities for not having yielded to external pressure, including that of the AU.
The National Front, she added, congratulated the elected President and reassured him of his support. According to Jute Kikufizia, there is a collaboration between the platform Cap pour le change (CASH) to which the President-elect belongs and his party which is a signatory member of the charter.
The FN also took the opportunity to pay tribute to outgoing President Joseph Kabila Kabange for his passion for the DRC and for allowing the peaceful and civilized alternation of power. The Constitutional Court, it is recalled, proclaimed Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, the new President of the DRC, in his decision issued on January 19th, 2019. ACP/Fng/Mpk/Awa
