National deputies confirm the thesis of a rebellion in Djugu
Bunia, October 17th, (CPA).- Ituri national deputies confirmed the thesis of the existence of a rebellion in the territory of Djugu at a press conference held in the meeting room of the "Karibuni" hotel, at the end of their official mission of nearly a week in this part of the country.
The head of the delegation of parliamentarians, Medard Autsai Asenga, reassured that his delegation has the necessary details on the leaders of this armed group, the objectives of this rebellion as well as the basis of it adding that the first report of the Mission is reserved to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Aubin Minaku. According to the national deputy Raymond Tchedya, elected of Djugu and one of members of this delegation, it is indeed a rebellion, considering that these inciviques attack the symbols of the Republic which are the army and the police.
He has, at the same time, proposed a series of solutions for the reconstruction of Djugu, including the strengthening of the authority of the state, the involvement of all layers in the peace process, the continuation of hearings fairgrounds against the attackers to find the intellectual authors of killings and fires of houses recorded between December 2017 and February 2018 in certain localities of Djugu.
