President Joseph Kabila on a work journey in Kalemie

Kalemie, December 6th, 2018 (CPA).- The Head of State, Joseph Kabila Kabange arrived on Thursday afternoon in Kalemie, capital of the Tanganyika Province from Lubumbashi where he spent a few days. He was greeted at Kahinda airport by Tanganyika Governor Richard Ngoy Kitangala. After the traditional welcoming ceremony, the presidential procession headed to the Amani capital in the governorate of Tanganyika.

The program of his stay in Kalemie provides for an interview with the notables of the province of Tanganyika and the candidates for the deputation both national and provincial for Friday.

The Visit of the President of the Republic to the staff of the 2nd zone of defense The Head of State Joseph Kabila Kabange carried out on Monday a working visit to the General Staff of the 2nd defense zone in Lubumbashi where he inspected the rehabilitation works of the building to house the various services of this State major under the explanations of the commander of the 2nd zone of defense, the general Philémon Yav, announces the official sources.

The President of the Republic took the opportunity to chair a coordination meeting attended by the commander of the 2nd defense zone, Major General Philémon Yav, the 22nd military region, Major General Urbain Tambuka, the provincial commissioner of the Congolese National Police, the deputy commissioner Paulin Kyungu, the chief of staff of the Minister in charge of National Defense, General Ilunga and the staff members.

On this occasion, the commander of the 2nd defense zone gave a brief overview of the situation of this staff while taking stock of the activities carried out.
