Didier Tshiyoyo, determined to make the 9th Francophonie Games a showcase for the DRC


Kinshasa, April 5th, 2021 (CPA) .- The High representative  of the Head of State on the Organizing Committee of the 9th Games of La Francophonie, Didier Tshiyoyo Mbuyi, is determined to materialize the vision of the President of the Republic Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, to make these Games a showcase for not only Kinshasa but for the whole country, after the historic 1974 boxing fight « Ali-Foreman ».

According to the communication unit of this great meeting of Francophone Youth which indicated it, Sunday, to the CPA, Didier Tshiyoyo, to this end, explained the progress already recorded in the preparations for the 9th Games of La Francophonie in Kinshasa, to the group of ambassadors of French-speaking countries accredited to the DRC. The High Representative of the Head of State to the Organizing Committee for the 9th Games of La Francophonie, Didier Tshiyoyo Mbuyi, and the Canadian Ambassador, Benoît-Pierre Laramée He thus received, in turn, the French ambassadors, François Pujolas, Canadian Benoît-Pierre Laramée and Belgian Jo Indekeu.

In this regard, the Canadian ambassador, very satisfied with the exchanges, posted a message full of optimism on his Twitter account: “Fruitful meeting with the High Representative of the President of the Republic, Mr. Tshiyoyo to discuss preparations for the Games of la Francophonie in the DRC. The Francophone Youth will showcase their artistic and sporting talents: a testimony of solidarity”.

The same source specifies that the high representative of the Head of State spoke to these hosts about the launch of the preliminary works of sanitation of the various sites in particular, the Tata Raphaël Stadium where the “village of games” will be built to accommodate the various delegations.

as well as the signing of contracts for the installation of optical fiber on the various sites where the games are held (the Martyrs and Tata Raphaël Stadium, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Limete Interchange, etc.). For the broadcast in high definition, the high representative of the Head of State was delighted to have finalized the signing of the contract for the acquisition of a Régie 8 K bus which public television (RTNC) will be able to follow serve even after these Games. Another major fact, adds the same source, is the signing of another agreement with the partners for the construction of a technical school which will train young people in the various building trades: tilers, carpenters, masons and others, will be not only trained but certified.

Anxious to involve the female junta in this competition, the high representative of the Head of State is committed through a partnership with the collective of the Network of Francophone Women, to involve women more in order to create an effective synergy with the 28 countries represented by this network which has affirmed its desire to mobilize every woman from their respective countries for a massive participation in this meeting of the 9th Games of La Francophonie scheduled from August 19th  to 28th, 2022 in Kinshasa.
