Congolese youth encouraged to seek solutions to social problems


Kinshasa, April 21nd, 2021 (CPA).- The coordinator of « Promotion of the rights and interests of young people (PRODDIJE) » NGO, Jerry Kankala, on Tuesday encouraged the Congolese youth to invest more in the search for solutions to the problems social issues including that of COVID-19, during the day of reflection focused on the theme «  Citizen engagement in times of crisis: COVID 19 and governance challenges  » organized in Gombe municipality.

Mr. Kakala justified the holding of this activity on the continuity of the ignorance of the existence of the pandemic of the century by a good segment of the population, the modesty of the budget in search of solutions and the lack of relativization of the disease in African contexts to provide appropriate remedies.

On this occasion, Dr. Nadine Bakari Saidi, member of the technical secretariat in charge of the response, placed particular emphasis on raising awareness through assistance for the practice of barrier gestures decreed by the World Health Organization (WHO). For her part, Dr. Nadine Mintsey, also a member of this secretariat, urged participants to accept the vaccine to guard against the coronavirus pandemic.

To avoid any doubt, she urged decision-makers to continue sensitizing the populations in order to educate them on the benefit of the vaccine being administered in DRC. ACP/
