26 prisoners benefit from presidential pardon in Kamina


Kamina, May 22nd, 2021 (CPA).- Twenty-six inmates from Kamina central prison in Haut-Lomami province were released last Thursday following a presidential pardon. It was at the end of the official release ceremony chaired in the facilities of this prison by the vice-governor and interim governor of Haut Lomami, Denis Ngandu Ngoy who, for the occasion, was surrounded by the judicial authorities concerned. . The interim governor paid tribute to the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for his efforts to establish the rule of law. He lavished encouragement on the lucky beneficiaries of the presidential pardon to whom he asked to return to society while respecting the laws of the country in order to avoid falling back into the same offenses for which they were condemned.
