Goma May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- Civil society advocates for the development of health centers that can accommodate pregnant women to prevent certain cases that may arise in the incessant movement of populations who travel to different cities.

Indeed, the volcanic eruption in the city of Goma has caused the displacement of the population to more or less secure areas.

Among the material damage identified during the meeting of feminist organizations on May 25th, we note in particular the damage to several health and maternity centers, the difficulties of access to drinking water, the lack of shelters and food provisions for affected families, the issue of monitoring pregnancies (CPN) for pregnant women and deliveries in non-sanitary conditions, explained Annie Pengele, focal point of the Fund for Congolese Women (FFC) who also took part in the meeting organized by UN Women.
