Launching of sanitation operations in the various districts of Kimbanseke


Kinshasa, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).- The supervisor of the Environment and Sustainable Development Department of the municipality of Kimbanseke, Ms. Rebecca Makenga Muamba, recently launched sanitation operations in the various neighborhoods of her municipality.

This operation, initiated by the mayor of this commune, Jeannot Canon la Rose, consisted in the removal of bags and household garbage that litter the various avenues of this commune.

The various services of the municipality, the heads of districts, and all the vendors along the avenues have been mobilized to make the municipality clean.

Rebecca Makenga indicated that these sanitation operations fall within the framework of the operation « Kin-Bopeto » or « Kin the beautiful » initiated by the governor of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka who wishes to make the capital healthy to spare the population. diseases of dirty hands.

She urged the residents of Kimbanseke to themselves be agents of the development of their municipality by appropriating the operation « Kin-bopeto » to effectively fight against insalubrity by regularly cleaning their immediate environment to avoid disease.

“As long as the street is not clean, the district will not be clean, and as long as the district is not clean, the municipality will not be clean; and if the street and the neighborhood are clean, the municipality will automatically be clean, ”she said, before encouraging the people of Kimbanseke not to continue living in the dirt.

On this occasion, she invited the heads of streets and districts to get involved in the « Kin-bopeto » operation with a view to making the municipality of Kimbanseke clean, a place where the weather is good. She appealed especially to women housewives to refrain from dumping household garbage and wastewater on avenues, and to sweep regularly in front of their plots.

Ms. Rebecca Makenga Muamba praised the involvement of the mayor of the commune, Jeannot Canon la Rose in this operation, by providing her service with appropriate sanitation materials. These materials include boots, carts, vests, wheelbarrows, hoes, street brushes etc. ACP/
