Kinshasa, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- AS Maniema Union de Kindu has recruited eleven new players for the 2021-2022 sports season, Maniema team coordinator Guy Kadia told reporters on Friday.
They are: goalkeeper Brudel Efonge (Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa); defenders Patrick Mpata (JS Groupe Bazano), Joe Kavam Swing (AC Kuya), Helton John Kayembe (Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshas), Junior Mohuta (Saint Eloi Lupopo); midfielders Mike Lutumba and Diego Tshikambo (Racing Club de Kinshasa), Flavy Lofeka (PJSK) and forwards Cyrille Mutwale (Groupe Bazano), Rodrigue Kitwa (Simba) and Fabrice Ngaba Makuba (RCK).
Maniema Union, vice-champion of the DR Congo, will take part for the first time in the Champions League of the African Football Confederation (CAF). « We have released 12 players and, through this recruitment, we have prioritized the criteria of efficiency, talent, youth and experience because the stakes are high. The Champions League is a real challenge for Maniema Union, which will require good recruitment and better preparation in order to present a remarkable figure in said competition and avoid being an atoning victim, « said Guy Kadia.
