Beni, July 10th, 2021 (CPA).- Bulongo’s central market resumes on Saturday after seven months without commercial activities, district chief Vimbwembwe announced after community works carried out by local people, held in his jurisdiction on Wednesday.
Paluku Mangala has, on the occasion of these great community works called « Salongo » thank the population for the work done in cleaning up this public building. This grassroots authority asked traders in Bulongo and elsewhere to borrow this market.
It should be remembered that the rural commune of Bulongo was attacked by the ADF rebels in many ways. Deaths and kidnappings without naming burnt houses had been recorded in the camp of the local population. As a result, hundreds of families had moved fearing for their safety. ACP/
