Kinshasa, September 28th, 2021 (CPA), – The Minister of State in charge of Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium Enterprises (EPME), Eustache Muhanzi Mubembe has been staying in Goma, capital of the province of North Kivu since Saturday September 25, as part of the program to implement incubators for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the CPA learned on Tuesday from the Ministry of EPME.
The province of North Kivu which is one of the beneficiary provinces of this program, constitutes the first stage of its mission which takes place twice in the space of two months, proves the determination of the government to support the promotion of Congolese SMEs, and this, through the Ministry of EPME.
On the spot in Goma, indicates the source, the minister visited startups and some young entrepreneurs in order to encourage them and to feel the real problems which are posed on the ground, among which he mainly noted the deficiency of the electric current, a situation which blocks the proper functioning of learning centers.
Faced with this observation, Minister of State Muhanzi promised to seize the National Agency for Electrification and Energy Services in Rural and Peri-Urban Areas (ANSER), a project of the Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity, in order to remedy the the situation.
He appreciated the entrepreneurial spirit rooted in the young entrepreneurs of Goma, before calling on them to multiply innovations, in order to face competition in the African market.
Continuing his visits, Eustache Muhanzi went to the Mugunga district, site where the incubators of SMEs from different sectors will be located, in order to create an industrial zone for the development of the city of Goma in particular, and the DRC in general. “Having purely Congolese millionaires is possible in the DRC. Entrepreneurship is therefore one of the vectors par excellence of wealth creation in the DRC, « he said.
After the city of Goma, the same source specifies, the city of Bukavu, capital of the province of South Kivu, was the second stage of this roaming of the Minister of State in charge of EPME, it is recalled.
