Christophe Lutundula in Rome to strengthen bilateral relations between the DRC and Italy

Kinshasa, October 10th, 2021 (CPA).- The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Christophe Lutundula Apala Pen’Apala, on a service mission in Rome, Italy, discussed with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, on issues related to strengthening bilateral relations between Kinshasa and Rome, in several areas of common interest. The files related to Covid-19 and the support of the DRC’s mandate to the Presidency of the African Union by Italy were addressed by the two statesmen. Italian firms interested in business opportunities in the DRC notably presented to Deputy Prime Minister Christophe Lutundula projects they intend to carry out. These include « CNH Industrie », specializing in the development of agriculture, food safety and equipment, and « De Lorenzo », specializing in the field of vocational training and the manufacture of simulator products. The Italy-Africa meeting, to which Deputy Prime Minister Christophe Lutundula was invited, is an opportunity to relaunch and stimulate post-pandemic, social and economic cooperation on an equal footing, it is stressed.
