DRC’s energy and infrastructure sectors interest Turkish investors from Çalik holding company


Kinshasa, October 10th, 2021 (CPA), – The delegation of Turkish investors from Çalik holding company indicated that in addition to mining, the energy and infrastructure sectors are also of interest to their company, during the hearing granted to them last Wednesday by the Minister of Mines, Antoinette N’Samba Kalambayi, indicates a press release from the Ministry of Mines, received Saturday at the CPA. The delegation of Turkish investors from the çalik holding company, led by its managing director Abmet Çalik, also reiterated their desire to bring their investment to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), not only in the mining sector, but also to health as well as in the construction of basic infrastructure. Responding to a question, Director General Abmet çalik said he was impressed not only by the quality of the exchange of views his delegation had with the Minister of Mines, but also by the welcome extended to them. For her part, Antoinette N’Samba reassured her hosts of the support of the Congolese government through her ministry. The visit of the Turkish delegation follows the meeting between Turkish President Erdogan and his Congolese counterpart Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in September in Istanbul. The two Heads of State had decided to intensify their relations in the political and economic fields, it is recalled.
