Kinshasa, October 14th, 2021 (CPA) – The ten buses of the Congo Transport Company (Transco) which left the port of the Commercial transport and ports company (SCTP) in Kisangani on Sunday October 10th, in Tshopo province, arrived since Monday, October 11th at 8:30 a.m. in Nia-Nia in Haut-Uele province, to the great satisfaction of the population of this province, CPA learned on Wednesday from the Ministry in charge of Transport, communication channels and opening up.
According to the source, these buses traveled more than 800 km from Kisangani, before reaching Isiro city, capital of Haut-Uele province.
« It is thanks to the ingenuity of the drivers recruited locally and who have followed a training course in Kinshasa, that we have succeeded, with these buses which are new, to reach Nia-Nia », declared one of the drivers on condition of anonymity. , adding that these rolling machines drove well apart from some difficulties encountered which are due, in particular to the many quagmires which litter our dirt roads.
The deployment of these buses, indicates the same source, meets the concerns of the President of the Republic, Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, who wants Transco to deploy its activities throughout the national territory.
As a reminder, these Transco buses have been deployed to serve the populations of Watsa, Faradje, Dungu, Wamba and Nyangara and also provide cross-border transport between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda. ACP /
