The Head of State discusses the opportunities of DRC at the 6th edition of the Global Business Forum Africa at Expo 2020 Dubai


Kinshasa, October 14th, 2021 (CPA) – The Head of State Felix Tshisekedi, in his speech, on Wednesday, at the sixth edition of the Global Business Forum Africa (GBF Africa), at Expo 2020 Dubai, put highlighting the semi-continental dimension of DRC, the Congo Basin and the major role that DRC can play in making Africa the benchmark of the world.

The Head of State made this speech in the presence of Crown Prince of Dubai Hamdan Ben AL Maktoum, at Expo 2020 Dubai, one of the flagship events of this event.

While advocating exchanges between the two large states, President Felix Tshisekedi highlighted the efforts led by the DRC for the awakening of Africa.

President Felix Tshisekedi then interacted on business opportunities with UAE Minister of State in charge of International Cooperation and Director General of Expo Dubai 2020, Ms. Reem Al Hashimy.

The President of the Republic who is accompanied by members of the government and the delegation of the Federation of Congo Businesses (FEC) proceeded, just after his intervention to GBF, to visit the stands up to the pavilion where the companies of Congo exhibit during this event and where they do their marketing.

It is the first universal exhibition organized in the region of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. It marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates.

Expo Dubai 2020 is a space for sharing a sustainable vision of the development of the planet for the benefit of current and future generations. It is a pioneering global platform capable of exploring investment opportunities on the African continent. This reinforces the crucial role played by Dubai’s wise leadership in developing the emirate’s trade links with emerging markets around the world.
