Kinshasa, October 15th, 2021 (CPA) -The rector of the University of CEPROMAD (UNIC-Centered on promotion and management in development), Professor Oscar Nsaman-O-Lutu, presides from October 14th to 16th, 2021, the Extraordinary Council of the UNIC, by order of the Minister of Higher and University Education (ESU), in order to harmonize and organize this private institution approved by the ESU by complying with legal texts.
During the opening Thursday of these meetings in the UNIC site in the town of Masina in Kinshasa, Professor Nsaman defined the framework of this extraordinary Council including representatives of 20 autonomous universities of CEPROMAD from all provinces, take part. He reminded these interlocutors of the line of conduct submitted to UNIC by the Minister in charge of ESU, warning those who abuse the UNIC label by creating the extensions yet this network has only 20 universities become autonomous. In turn, Prof. Nsaman with Prof. from UNIKIN, Séraphin –Vinhy Lusamba, presented on the 329 resolutions from the ESU General Meetings held from September 6th to 14th, 2021 in Lubumbashi, which must be applied to the letter to the University of CEPROMAD.
Prof. Lusamba recalled the resolutions related in particular to the integration of the License-Master-Doctorate (LMD) educational system applicable throughout the national territory next academic year, the digitization of Congolese universities and higher institutes officially launched Monday at UNIKIN by the Minister of ESU, Muhindo Nzangi, the next generation of academics, the membership of Congolese universities in regional and international associations of ESU, of which CEPROMAD is ahead.
The participants welcomed the salutary measures taken by the Minister to clean up, straighten out and renovate the ESU sector, intervening upstream from other sectors of national life on the part of his threefold mission, in particular of training human capital. During these three days, the managers of the autonomous universities of CEPROMAD will develop a roadmap integrating the resolutions of the States General and the reforms to be initiated within this network which will no longer have to organize extensions and relocated audiences.
