Provincial Minister Alain Tshisungu determined to make his contribution in the fight against corruption in DRC

 Kinshasa, October 28th, 2021 (CPA).– The provincial minister in charge of Interior and Customary affairs of Kasai province, in working stay in Kinshasa, Alain Tshisungu Ntumba, affirmed, on Thursday, during an interview with CPA, its determination to make its contribution in the fight against corruption and similar anti-values.

Minister Tshisungu spoke after his participation in the workshop on the States General of the fight against corruption in the Democratic Republic of Congo, organized from October 19th to 23rd, 2021 at Hotel Rotana, in Kinshasa, acknowledged, the importance of this activity focused on three sub-themes, namely: detection, international prevention and suppression of corruption.

A lawyer by training, Alain Tshisungu, also participated in the sub-committee which dealt with the sub-theme of the detection of corruption in DRC, with among other recommendations made to the government.

These include: building the capacities of all those involved in the detection of corruption, such as whistleblowers, public inspectors, magistrates of the Court of Auditors who will have to take an oath before the Head of ‘State, in order to devote themselves assiduously to their official mission.

In addition to the new Minister of the Interior in charge in particular of justice, Me Alain Tshisungu Ntumba, Kasai province was actively represented by the first president of the Court of Appeal and the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Kasai.

The States General for the fight against corruption were opened on Tuesday, October 19th by the Prime Minister, personal representative of the President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and closed by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Civil Service Jean-Pierre Lihau, we remind.
