Towards the digitalization of Congolese justice

Kinshasa, October 28th, 2021 (CPA).-The Minister of State, Minister in charge of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Rose Mutombo, met on Wednesday in her office, with a delegation from the company « Africa Union Development » led by its delegate, the general administrator Theophile Badoana, and came to offer his support in the project of digitalization of the Justice of DRC.

At the end of their interview, Theophile Badoana said he was aware of the major challenges in the development and implementation of such a project, affirming however, that in many African countries where his company is established, the Ministry of Justice has undergone certain changes which relate in particular to the management, procedures and monitoring of internal resources.

« We intend to set up a complete network of the territory allowing the Ministry in charge of Justice to really do its work, while being aware of the major challenges in the development and implementation of such a project », he said.

The « Africa Union Development » group took the gamble, he continued, of being able to have several transponders with several satellite operators, in order to be able to be present where no telecom operator is present today.

This project, once implemented, he said, will give the possibility of being able to have so many drop points for the Ministry in charge of Justice in all the remote corners of the country, from a district of Kasumbalesa to the center of Equateur.

For her part, Minister of State Rose Mutombo plans to set up a commission to study all the contours of the said project, so that the Congolese State, while remaining open to the proposal, commits to a partnership win-win and that the government regain its share.

« Africa Union Development » is an integral project management company (under Congolese law), and a major player in the fields of infrastructure and technological resources. Its head office is in South Africa. ACP /
