A round table in Kisangani on the mobilization of actors of the network of the Federation of central supplying essential drugs

Kisangani, November 1st, 2021 (CPA) .- The provincial Minister in charge of Finance of Tshopo, Elias Ewengene, last Friday closed the meeting of the round table on the mobilization of actors of the network of the Federation of central supply in essential drugs (FEDECAME) to achieve the objectives of universal health coverage. These meetings, which were organized by FEDECAME in partnership with the Kisangani essential drugs purchasing center (CAMEKIS), enabled participants to discuss serious problems that prevent the regional distribution centers from fully playing their role.

The difficulty lies in making essential and consumable drugs available at an affordable cost in compliance with the international standards in force at health facilities, through the central offices of the health zones. Provincial Minister Ewengene, on behalf of the interim governor of Tshopo, called on the participants to play their role according to the rules of the profession and to collaborate effectively in all sincerity, in order to contribute to the improvement of the state of health of the Congolese.

At the same time, he welcomed the initiative of this round table which brought together technical and financial partners as well as beneficiaries of the services of the National System for the Supply of Essential Medicines (SNAME). ACP/
