FARDC elements release 54 hostages between ADF clutches in Ituri


Bunia, November 26th, 2021 (CPA).- The valiant elements of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) based on the Komanda-Luna operational axis released, on Thursday, fifty-four (54) hostages including 21 children, 17 women and 16 men, between the clutches of ADF terrorists, during a combat patrol in the village of Manzobe located 35 km west of the Komanda trading center in Irumu territory in Ituri. Moved by the prowess achieved by the FARDC under the command of General Joseph Mugisa Muleka, these ex-hostages expressed their feeling of gratitude to the Armed Forces who demonstrated their professionalism by pulling them in the clutches of these outlaws. These former hostages were victims of the abduction of ADF terrorists during the convoy attack on the Luna-Samboko section on November 5th, 2021 at around 4 p.m.
