CAF: Mazembe does the essentials ahead of Marumo Gallants (1-0) in the first leg of the play-offs

Kinshasa, November 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The Tout-Puissant Mazembe Englebert of DRC, did the essential in front of Marumo Gallants of South Africa, beating him 1-0 on Sunday at TP Mazembe stadium, in the first leg of the Confederation Cup play-offs, 2021-2022 edition.

The only achievement of the game was a self-goal for player Nonyane at the start of the period. It was a game that could be taken on and mastered at the outset by TP Mazembe, who was made more difficult in front of this young South African team, energetically refusing to collapse at the Badiangwena Temple. But the irreparable happened anyway Mazembe technically and tactically missed the opportunity to take over the no-joke Marumo Gallants side in their home base of Thohoyandou, Limpopo Province, South Africa.

We should therefore ask the question to AS V.Club of Kinshasa, which was eliminated by this team in the round of 16 of this Confederation Cup a few weeks ago. In the first leg away, V.Club was beaten 1-2, before coming to a 1-1 draw when they returned to Kinshasa, which meant elimination.

As a reminder, Marumo Gallants, is a team created in 2015. It is a team barely 6 years old which is based in Thohoyandou, in the province of Limpopo, in South Africa. When it was founded in 2015, Marumo Gallants FC was called Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC. The name change only took place in June 2021, four months ago. The return match in a week.
