Haut-Uélé: erection of a centenary monument of the Assembly of God community in Ngbongbolosi


Isiro, December 5th, 2021 (CPA)  .- A centenary moment of the 12th community of the Assembly of God (AOG) is erected in Ngbongbolosi village located in Ngombari district in Watsa territory, one of the traditional agglomerations of Haut-Uélé province , on the sidelines of the commemoration of the first century of the teachings of this church in the DRC. The legal representative of this community, Pastor Rubin Nongoyo Sungu, who proceeded last Friday, in the presence of the administrative, political and notable authorities of the region, indicated that this work of art recalls the first station of the American missionaries of this community to teach the gospel in 1921. The officiant of the day noted that the celebration of this centenary a moment of remembrance of God in the lives of the faithful, exhorting each one to the forgiveness of sins and to look to the future in order to serve God with great magnitude and efficiency. The provincial deputy Liévin Magama Koma, elected from the electoral district of Watsa who represented the provincial authority at this ceremony, for his part, paid a vibrant tribute to the Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, for peace which reigns in the province of Haut-Uélé and its efforts to put an end to insecurity in the neighboring provinces of Ituri and North Kivu which are under the state of siege. He took this opportunity to call on his constituents to cultivate love and to support the provincial institutions of Haut-Uélé so that they get up to speed in the process of endogenous development.
