Kinshasa, December 05th, 2021 (CPA) .- The Minister of Employment, Labor and Social Welfare (ETPS), Claudine Ndusi launched, on Saturday in the Kimpoko room, at the General Labor Inspectorate, the operation to identify foreign workers in DRC, during a ceremony organized in collaboration with the Congolese company « Digital Africa ». The process of identifying foreign workers, she said, will help solve the problems related to the lack of statistical data in the sector and facilitate, in the very near future, the production of cards in favor of this category. workers who are in order with the laws and legislation in the matter, and who have been waiting to be served since January 2021. This process will allow the government to have an up-to-date database, to design, develop and implement a better employment policy, said the minister, who recalls that the protection of the national workforce against foreign competition is an attribute of state sovereignty and is one of its essential missions. On this occasion, the ETPS Minister called on public and private partners, professional organizations of employers and workers working in the sector, to support the Congolese government in this task of general interest, for the well-being. social security of the Congolese population. The ETPS ministry is linked with the firm « Digital Africa », by a public service delegation contract which is the result of a public-private partnership and relates to the identification of foreign workers throughout the country. , said the general secretary of labor and employment, Angélique Inzun. For his part, the general manager of “Digital Africa”, Kalex Mwamba, affirmed that his structure supports the Congolese government as a technical partner, in order to provide it with quality digital solutions, in favor of this recording project. foreign workers.
