Recommendations on the campaign to enroll children in school in the province of Equateur


Mbandaka, December 5th, 2021 (CPA)  .- Participants in a training seminar for education and communication operators organized in Mbandaka, capital of Equateur province, by the Directorate of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) Ecuador 1, recommended rural door-to-door surveys to pick up children out of school so that there are zero children at home. According to Jean-Denis Tizo Toteanago, education focal point who provided this information, said that the participants in this meeting insisted on the initiation of a project to raise awareness of indigenous peoples and people living with disabilities, the popularization of decrees on the organization and functioning of parents ‘and elders’ committees of schools, the integration of communication structures in the management of schools, the restructuring of community animation units and the creation of a network of journalists who are friends of the ‘education. These meetings, which benefited from the technical and financial support of UNICEF for the enrollment campaign for children in school, were closed by the provincial director of EPST Ecuador 1, Hervé Mungeta Makule.
