Kinshasa, December 5th, 2021(CPA). – The President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, has appointed new representatives to head the Société Générale des Carrières et des Mines (GECAMINES SA), a Congolese mining giant, and the financial authorities, under the terms of two series of ordinances read on Friday, on the antennas of National Television, by its spokesperson, Tharcisse Kasongo Mwema. With regard to the first series of ordinances, MM. Alphonse Kaputo Kalubi, Hilaire Ntambwe Kabongo Ngoy and Léon Mwine Kabiena are appointed respectively Chairman of the Board of Directors, Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director within this company, while MM. Robert Lukana Guy, Rudy Kipenge Kahungu, Muhembo Kitangu Bob as well as Mmes Tekla Mpozi Muyumba, Nelly Kiwewa Malunda and Grâce Néhema are, for their part, appointed members of the said board of directors. Alphonse Kaputo Kalubi, a retired former Gécamines executive, replaces Albert Yuma Mulumbi, current president of the Federation of Congo Businesses (FEC), who has headed this company since 2010. New directors of financial authorities In the second series of ordinances published the same day, the Head of State also appointed new leaders at the head of the financial authorities, namely the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), the General Directorate of Administrative and State Revenue and participations (DGRAD) and the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA) as well as at the head of the Mining Fund for future generations. At the DGI, Henry Maurice Kabwa Kaluma has been appointed the new Deputy Director General in charge of technology, while at the DGRAD, MM Jean-Parfait Ntabala, Fwamba Likonde and Ms. Christine Epoluke Bombula are respectively appointed Director General, Deputy Director General in charge of technical matters and Deputy Director General in charge of finance and administration. At the General Directorate of Customs and Excise (DGDA), Messrs Blondine Kawanda, Bernard Kabese Musangu, Jean-Louis Bawuna are appointed respectively Director General, Deputy Director General in charge of technical matters and Deputy Director General in charge of financial matters. In addition, at the Mining Fund for Future Generations, Messrs Léon Mubikayi and Faustin Biringanine are appointed respectively Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, while Léon Mondole, Arlette Kabila Mawuwa, Marie Jacqueline Lumbu, are appointed members of the Board of administration.
