The last tributes of President Felix Tshisekedi to the late Cyril Mbiyamuenza wa Mbiyamuenza


Kinshasa, December 17th, 2021 (CPA) – The President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, accompanied by his wife, Denise Nyakeru Tshisekedi, paid the last tributes to the late Cyril Mbiyamuenza wa Mbiyamuenza, his cousin, who died in Kinshasa on December 8th as a result of ‘a short illness, during the funeral ceremonies organized on Thursday, at the fiftieth anniversary hospital.

The presidential couple laid a wreath of flowers and bowed before the coffin of the illustrious disappeared, before greeting and consoling the widow, the orphans and some close members of the grieving family.

In his exhortation, Pastor Mika Mpoyi of ACK/Mbuji-Mayi, referred the audience to consult the book of John, chap. 3 verses 16.

“God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not perish and have everlasting life”, said the man of God, adding: “It is everyone’s time to convert, walking according to the word of God for eternal life”.

The late Cyril Mbiyamuenza, whom the Head of State affectionately called « Cyri Djo the Mvuandu », according to testimonies, was born on May 8th, 1965 in Mbuji-Mayi, Kasai Oriental. 5th of his siblings, he is the son of Théophile Bakatubia and Bernadette Ndaya Mutombo.

He obtained his state diploma in 1985 in the commercial section, at the Inabanza Institute in Ngandajika. He graduated in Commercial and Financial Sciences from the Higher Institute of Commerce (ISC) / Kisangani.

Married to Madeleine Ntumba Mpinda, he leaves behind 7 children, including three girls and four boys. The late Mbiyamuenza was, until his death, Head of Division at the General Directorate of Administrative, Judicial, Domanial and Participations Revenue (DGRAD) / Mbuji-Mayi, in Kasai Oriental.
