The Presidential Couple invites the Congolese to make the DRC a more beautiful country than in 2021

Kinshasa, December 27th, 2021 (CPA). The presidential couple invited, on Friday, the Congolese people, in their message of greetings, comfort and encouragement to solidarity, on the occasion of the feast of the nativity, to « commit resolutely in 2022, through work and peace, to make the DRC a more beautiful country than in 2021 ”.

President Félix Tshisekedi and his wife have, in this radio and television message, recalled at this end of the year period, the values of sharing, mutual aid, love and solidarity to be manifested, despite the unique context marked by the persistence of the coronavirus pandemic.

For the Head of State, his thoughts and that of his wife go, on this day, to the internally displaced as well as to all the victims of the shipwreck having enamelled 2021. However, he invited the people to « look at the glass half full », meaning by this, the recovery by our security and defense forces of the localities of Fataki, Lipini and Niangara, in the territory of Djugu, which allows compatriots to freely celebrate Christmas.

President Tshisekedi has, on this occasion, « renew his tributes to the fallen soldiers, arms in hand, in search of the reestablishment of peace in our territory ». Across the country, let’s think about the most vulnerable and those in need around us. Let us combine these acts with our greatest wealth, namely solidarity, ”he concluded.

For her part, the First Lady recalled the conflicts and natural disasters that in 2021 disrupted the family and community balance, in particular the volcanic eruption of Nyiragongo and the floods of Uvira, not forgetting not to think of « medical personnel who put their lives on the line to save ours against COVID-19 ». Nyakeru Tshisekedi recommended, in order to defeat this pandemic forever, respect for social distancing measures and barrier gestures, before wishing the Congolese people, like the President of the Republic, a happy Christmas party.
