Kinshasa, January 17th, 2022 (CPA).- The President of the Republic, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo gave orientations for the success of the development project at the base of the 145 territories of the country, during a meeting which he chaired, last Sunday, for the second time in a week, with the political steering committee of the said project.
The discussions focused on the operational choices of this program in order to distribute the tasks between the sectoral ministries and the presidential office to consolidate the strategic planning of this vast project. It was also a question of seeing how to distribute the tasks between the sectoral ministries and the cabinet of the President of the Republic and also to integrate all the ideas to ensure that the project will be carried out as desired.
Patrick Muyaya, Minister in charge of Communication and Media, government spokesman, suggested after the meeting that the discussions of the next meeting will focus on the specific implementation of the forecasts and timetable on the deployment of the project. It will also be a question of seeing how the Head of State will present the project to the Congolese to explain the options selected and the manner of their execution.
While recalling that the President of the Republic had already explained this grassroots development project during the second Council of Ministers of the Sama Lukonde government, Patrick Muyaya said that the executive is counting on the population with regard to support. of this project and its monitoring, in order to achieve the expected results. The government has already made available nearly USD 450 million for the realization of this project which aims to reduce poverty and social inequalities throughout the country.
Two successive meetings, during the same week, under the senior management of the Head of State, demonstrates the importance and urgency of this salutary project for the 145 territories of the country, which will affect the all sectors of national life. This project specifically targets the construction of agricultural service roads, the development of health centers and the upgrading of the economic fabric.
