A Belgian multisectoral economic mission expected next Saturday in Kinshasa


Kinshasa, March 14th, 2022 (CPA) – The Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Belgian Embassy in DRC, Laurence Heyblon informed on Monday, the Minister in charge of Employment, Labor and Social Welfare, Claudine Ndusi M’Kembe, of the arrival of a Belgian multisectoral economic mission in Kinshasa for discussions on the possibilities of bilateral investments, during an audience granted to him in his office.

According to Laurence Heyblon, more than 100 Belgian entrepreneurs will come to Kinshasa with the interest of finding local partnerships and for investments during a seminar which will be organized in two panels under the theme: « How to do business in DRC and how finance the project » as well as on « women’s entrepreneurship ».

« 16 projects financed by a cooperation agreement between Brussels and Kinshasa will be visited by the mission which will be led by the Secretary of State for the Brussels region and foreign trade, Pascal Smet and the Minister-President of the Brussels region, by Rudi Vervoot”, she said.

Since the coming to power of President Felix Tshisekedi, relations between DRC and Belgium have been increasingly consolidated.
