Kananga, March 18, 2022 (CPA),– The market in the city of Kananga, in Kasaï Central, is facing a fuel shortage which is the reason for the closure of two gas stations for more than ten days. Sector operators attribute this situation to the delay in the delivery of quantities of petroleum products by the National Railway Company of Congo (Sncc) from Ilebo, in the province of Kasaï and Sakania in Haut-Katanga. . Circles close to the provincial division of hydrocarbons question the will of the Sncc, indicating that this company favors the transport of goods to the detriment of the routing of lubricants in the central part of the country confronted with the problems of the supply of said products. .. Three tanks including 2 of diesel and 1 of gasoline from Ilebo are expected shortly in Kananga, learned the Congolese Press Agency (CPA) from a source close to the Sncc who listened to the cries of distress of the population of the center of the country. This situation, the source points out, has caused public transport fares to soar across the province.
