Kinshasa, March 31st, 2022 (CPA) – Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde has called on the ministries concerned, each in their respective capacity, to further support the Armed Forces of DRC (FARDC) which continue to secure the Nord Kivu, during a security meeting which he chaired on Monday evening, at the Prime Minister’s office.
To this end, the Prime Minister has asked the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Interior and Security, the Minister in charge of National Defense and the structures under their supervision to assess this situation and to give clear guidelines to the various stakeholders in order to bring peace to this province of DRC.
According to a source from the Prime Minister’s office, the Prime Minister also urged them to work towards combating any disinformation tending to create panic among the population before indicating that the government of the Republic will spare no effort to bring necessary support for FARDC on the ground.
