Return to the French Embassy of three cars stolen in France and found in Kinshasa


Kinshasa, April 15th, 2022 (CPA).- The Deputy Commissioner General of the Congolese National Police (PNC), in charge of administration, Patience Mushid Yav, proceeded on Thursday to the restitution to the French Embassy in the DRC, of ​​three cars Toyota CHR Hybrid brand stolen in France and seized in Kinshasa, in December 2020, by the capital’s BCN Interpol, the CPA of this embassy learned on Friday.

According to the source, the internal security attaché and the ETIPJ of this embassy received the keys of these three vehicles, before handing them over to the representative of the SIEP company mandated by the French insurers. The BCN Interpol had received, specifies this source, a requisition of information from the Attorney General of Matete ordering the handing over to the Embassy of the said vehicles placed in the custody of the General Commissioner of the PNC, in a case of international trafficking of vehicles stolen in Europe.
