6 schools in Barumbu II educational zone made aware of sanitation in the city of Kinshasa

Kinshasa, May 3rd, 2022 (CPA).– A team from Kinshasa-Bopeto Coordination carried out an awareness campaign on Saturday aimed at parents, students and school authorities, from six schools in Barumbu II educational zone, in Barumbu municipality, during a meeting organized within the precincts of the Community Network of Schools Inspired by “Bahá’ie Faith”.

This event organized within the framework of the 27th bopeto day was marked by a conference debate under the theme: « Kinshasa- bopeto a challenge of changing mentalities », is a first experience of this service in charge of sanitation, which targeted , the schools « Ecib New garden school », « Roda School », « Lole High School », « CS Claparede », « Munganga College », « CS Maman Jacquie ».

 In his speech, the Provincial Coordinator of « Kinshasa-Bopeto » Germain Mpundu Bombanza indicated that this event is a way to lay the groundwork, before the launch of the vast program « Bopeto at school » which is already ready.

History of putting the child at the center of raising awareness of Bopeto culture.

For Mr. Jean Delou Monana, Kinshasa Bopeto communications officer and one of the speakers on the panel on this day, addressed the sub-theme: “The centrality of education in all human activities for the reconstruction of society”.

For his part, Mr. Joel Mutombo, focal point of the Network of Community Schools inspired by « Baha’ie Faith » in the west, thanked Kinshasa City Hall for the choice of its schools, hoping that this type of activity is organized each term of the school year.

It should be noted that several other activities were organized in various corners of the capital on the occasion of this 27th day, in particular road cleaning works by members of churches, and NGO operating in the sector environment and sanitation.
