Bukavu, May 6th, 2022 (CPA).-The governor of South Kivu, Théo Ngwabije Kasi, launched the public lighting rehabilitation operation in the city of Bukavu, Thursday, May 05, 2022 from the Avenue P.E.Lumumba to the Ruzizi 1st border.
The provincial authority has indicated that the rehabilitation of public lighting aims to meet the multiple demands of the population expressed for several years, stressing that public lighting contributes to the fight against all forms of insecurity.
Governor Théo Ngwabije Kasi congratulated the provincial director of SNEL, Jovit Mulemangabo, for having understood that governing differently also involves providing electricity in this part of the DRC. He promised to support the efforts of SNEL to strengthen its capacity in the distribution of electric current for the satisfaction of the entire population according to the vision of the Head of State, Féix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo which is summed up by the slogan « the people first of all « .
