End of the workshop on human rights at the Carrefour of Youth in Kalamu

Kinshasa, May 16th, 2022 (CPA).-– The coordinator of the International Center for Training in Human Rights and Development (CIFDH / D), Danny Mbala proceeded on Saturday to the Carrefour Youth of Matonge district in the municipality of Kalamu, at the closing of the workshop on the rights of persons focused on grand naturalization.

Previously, the assistant to this structure, Esther Kahambwe reminded the participants that these meetings began on Friday with explanations around the small naturalization, before defining the large naturalization as a nationality offered to a third expatriate person with the small naturalization for at least fifteen years preceding the introduction of his request for this identity.

However, the President of the Republic can derogate from this rule for certain specific cases, she underlined, insisting that to acquire this type of nationality, the individual who requests it must fulfill two conditions, namely: to have made loyal services to the country and obtained the favorable opinion of the parliament meeting in congress. Miss Kahambwe also indicated that the beneficiary of the grand naturalization has the advantage of being exempted from certain incapacities devolved to the holder of the minor naturalization, in the sense that he can exercise public functions.
