Tshikapa, May 31st, 2022 (CPA).- The provincial minister in charge of gender, family and children as well as sports in the province of Kasai, Denise Muluka, during an interview Monday with the ACP, said she had pleaded with ambassadors and heads of missions of various African countries accredited in the DRC, for the empowerment of women in his province, on the sidelines of the celebration in Kinshasa of World Africa Day, commemorated on May 25 of each year. The provincial minister said that the participants expressed the wish to invest in female entrepreneurship among the women of Kasaï like the women of the city of Kinshasa who are supervised by the national network of rural women (RENAFR). . To achieve empowerment, Ms. Muluka announced that these women have just started income-generating activities (IGA) such as the manufacture of pancakes and cakes as well as other local foods for the revaluation of these. In her capacity as president of RENAFR, Minister Denise Muluka also urged women in Kasaï to take charge of themselves, referring to the theme of the year: « strengthening resilience in the area of ​​malnutrition ».
