Prof. Philippe Masegabio, a role model for all Congolese generations


Lisala, June 11th, 2022 (CPA), – Father Trésor Tebandimi celebrated a thanksgiving mass on Thursday at the Saint-Hermès cathedral in Lisala, on the occasion of the burial in Kinshasa of the late Pr Philippe Masegabio, considered as a model for all Congolese generations. The acting governor of Mobgala, Serge Mongulu, some members of the Provincial Executive, representatives of the ESU, the family and others, participated in this worship.

In his homily taken from the book of Saint Paul, the celebrant of the day challenged the young people of the province of Mongala who must embody the human values ​​which have characterized certain personalities of this province, in particular Polycarpe Mongulu, Philippe Masegabio and others. As a reminder, Philippe Masegabio was born in 1944 in Boso-Manzi in the territory of Lisala, sector of Mongala Motima. A university professor, he was a scientific authority and took on many political responsibilities in addition to his role as a writer. He has done the pride of the DRC throughout the world and of Greater Equateur, particularly Mongala, with his writings.
