Kinshasa, June 21st, 2022 (CPA) – The President of the Republic Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo expressed, in his communication to the 58th meeting of the Council of Ministers, his wish to see the Integrated System Project for the management of public contracts » SIGMAP” become widespread so that the digitization of all public procurement procedures becomes a reality by 2023.
« In view of the colossal amounts drained by public contracts, and certain bad governance practices, the President of the Republic stressed the need to accelerate the effective implementation of the pilot phase of the said Project which was developed with the support from the World Bank,” noted government spokesman Patrick Muyaya in his report.
To this end, underlined Patrick Muyaya, the President of the Republic has instructed the Minister of State in charge of Budget to take, without delay, all the necessary measures for the effective launch of the pilot phase in the coming weeks.
He also noted the urgency that all arrangements be made with the support of the Prime Minister and the Ministry in charge of Digital for everything to be finalized next year.
The Integrated Public Procurement Management System (SIGMAP), it should be noted, makes it possible to centralize, through a platform, all information relating to the award of public contracts and to ensure fluidity and free access to all. public order actors.
SIGMAP also makes it possible to monitor and evaluate the performance of the public procurement system and gain time in the production of the various reports. It allows each actor to fully play their role in the procurement chain. This public procurement portal makes it possible to available to the public all relevant information on procedures for the award and execution of public contracts. ACP/
