Kinshasa, June 22nd, 2022 (CPA) The Samaritan Foundation extension of N’djili, during a rally organized Tuesday at its headquarters, located in the same municipality, celebrated the International Day of the African Child commemorated on June 16 of each year under the theme: “Elimination of harmful practices affecting children”. The coordinator of the activities of this structure, Gires Kambulu, indicated that this day aims to raise awareness among children in general, but in particular those housed in the « Samaritaine » Foundation of the communes of N’djili and N’sele. about their rights and duties. In order to eliminate the negative practices linked to the respect of the rights and duties of children, Mr. Kambulu expressed the wish to see the latter benefit from a freedom of expression which will allow them to denounce all the abuses inflicted on them and to express their opinions freely. It should also be noted that the “Samaritan” foundation is a work of the Sisters of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus founded in 1996 by the late Cardinal Malula, with the aim of ensuring the supervision of vulnerable children.
