Mobilization in Bandundu for the reception of the Head of State Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo


Bandundu, June 22nd, 2022 (CPA) Members of citizens’ movements and civil society organizations in the city of Bandundu, capital of Kwilu province, are mobilizing to give a warm welcome to the Head of State, Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, whose arrival in this part of the province is announced in the next few days. The provincial coordinator of the New Civil Society/Kwilu, Huguette Pumbu, who said it during a march organized on Saturday on the main arteries of the city, said that this activity is part of the unconditional support of the population which intends to give an unparalleled welcome to the President of the Republic. At the end of this peaceful march from the Place de la Femme, in the commune of Disasi, to the provincial governorate in the commune of Basoko, Mrs. Huguette Pumbu, in a statement before the vice-governor of province Félicien Kiway, demanded the arrival of the guarantor of the nation in Bandundu, given that this urban entity is the seat of all the official institutions of the province. The provincial authority which took note of the declaration of the living forces, congratulated them on the initiative, before urging the populations to mobilize to make their environments clean, in order to reserve a dignified welcome for the 1st citizen of the Ground floor, in a healthy environment. The probable date of the arrival of the Head of State in Kwilu has not been revealed, we learned.
