Kinshasa, July 4th, 2022 (CPA).- Questions relating to the development and the future of the communities of Greater Katanga were, on Monday, at the center of discussions at the government building between Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde and the caucus of national elected of this former province.
The national elected Calixte Mukasa Kalembwe, elected from Kipushi in Haut-Katanga, indicated at the end of these exchanges, that they raised problems concerning the 4 provinces which constitute this caucus, which will be discussed with the governors of province when they are in their entities. “We wanted this delegation to be received by the provincial executives and for us to have discussions concerning the development and future of our communities. And we wanted to inform the head of government of this approach”, he said.
According to him, this caucus also came to inform the Prime Minister of the initiative of its members to better popularize the vision of the Head of State, Felix Tshisekedi, during their parliamentary holidays. “We are national deputies, members of the Sacred Union of the Nation in Greater Katanga. We are a caucus and we line up behind the vision of the Head of State, who is the initiator of the Sacred Union. We also wanted to tell the Prime Minister that the actions we are going to take on the ground during our parliamentary holidays will go in the direction of supporting this vision of the Head of State”, he said.
The caucus, it is reported, took the opportunity to request the support of the Head of Government so that its various delegations are well received by the provincial executives during these parliamentary holidays.
