CAMES: Muhindo Nzangi intends to continue efforts of his predecessors


Kinshasa, July 25th, 2022 (CPA).- The Minister in charge of Higher and University Education (ESU) Muhindo Nzangi Butondo, current president of the African and Malagasy Council for Higher Education (CAMES), intends to continue the efforts of his predecessors , as regards, in particular, the financing, the upgrading of achievements and the promotion of the activities of this regional organization.

According to a source from the ESU Ministry, Muhindo Nzangi made this known on Saturday, after a visit to Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso, headquarters of CAMES, in his communication on his program of action.

It will also be a question, he added, of revitalizing the participation of all the Member States, of consolidating the values ​​linked to Quality Assurance and the reform of Licence-Master-Doctorate (LMD), of encouraging the sharing of experiences and good practices for the benefit of higher and university education establishments in the Member States.

The same Saturday, in his capacity as current president of CAMES, the Congolese minister of ESU had enriching working sessions with the secretary general and the staff of this continental organization, before visiting the infrastructures of the said organization.

This activity in Ouagadougou is the second marking the relaunch of the DRC’s participation in CAMES activities, after the 39th Session of the CAMES Council of Ministers, held in Kinshasa from May 23rd to 27th, 2022, under the high patronage of the President of the DRC, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

It should be noted that Minister Muhindo Nzangi will sign on July 25th, 2022 with the Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs, a headquarters agreement in favor of CAMES. CPA/
