TICAD 8: JICA for Deepening Partnership between Japan and African Countries


Kinshasa, August 10th, 2022 (CPA).- The Resident Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency in the Democratic Republic of Congo (JICA-DRC), Hironobu Murakami, advocated deepening partnership dialogue between Japan and African countries. He said this on Tuesday at the JICA-DRC headquarters in Kinshasa, during a briefing with reporters, focusing on the eighth Tokyo International Conference for African Development (TIBAD-8) which will will be held from August 27 to 28 in Tunis, under the theme « Towards a resilient, inclusive and prosperous Africa ». Hironobu Murakami said that TIBAD-8, which will see various events related to key development issues in Africa, will be an opportunity for JICA to show the various contributions and achievements of the Empire of Japan as well as the fruits bilateral cooperation with the DRC.
