62 years of the CPA: agents and executives called to unity and respect for guidelines

Kinshasa, August 12th, 2022 (CPA).- The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Congolese Press Agency (CPA), Nicole Dimbambu Buanga, called on the executives and agents of the Agency to consolidate unity and respecting the guidelines of the House authorities, for a bright future for this public media. The PCA, which had at its side the director general, Pr Lambert Kaboyi, and the deputy director general, Gilbert Funga, declared it during the commemorative ceremony of the 62nd anniversary of the CPA organized, Friday, in the Salle des Conférences from his seat.

“You must take ownership of the guidelines and instructions given, in order to support us in our vision, which is to modernize and transform this Agency to meet the challenges, which will push the government to provide support and assistance,” said she recommended, after having congratulated the agents and executives of the CPA, for the work done in difficult conditions.

Professor Lambert Kaboyi advocates quality work

For his part, the Director General of the CPA, Professor Lambert Kaboyi, in his word for the occasion, invited journalists, as well as the administrators of this public establishment to love quality work, while following the principles issued by the management team.

A rule that pays off, he insisted, presenting as proof, various testimonies of his professional career as a journalist for this official media, from AZAP to the current CPA.

The CEO also pointed out that it was this love that prompted the Board of Directors to set up a « Three-year plan for the development of the Congolese Press Agency », validated by the Minister in charge, Patrick Muyaya, and which aims to boost the efforts of the “Triumvirate” Nicole Dimbambu-Pr Lambert Kaboyi- Gibert Funga. This, with a view to the improvement, already begun, of the living and working conditions of the agents and executives of the CPA.

In addition, Professor Lambert Kaboyi recalled that the applicability of the scale to the CPA is being implemented, following the efforts led by Minister Patrick Muyaya, through the CPA authorities. Speaking of the almost non-existent payment of operating costs which handicaps the smooth running of the Establishment, the Director General exclaimed: « it is unfair that the CPA is considered by the authorities of the country as the last son of the DRC, despite what is done as work”.

Previously, the editorial director, Nestor Cimanga, in his welcome address, congratulated the « Triumvirate » for the work accomplished and expressed the wish to see all journalists scrupulously respect the directives, for a job well done.

Two testimonies on the past and present of the Agency were on the menu of this festive morning, before the sharing of the birthday cake offered to the ACP community by PCA Nicole Dimbambu Buanga.
