Continuation of the « Zero Fulu » operation in the Madrandele district in the municipality of Lemba

Kinshasa, August 15th, 2022 (CPA).- The mayor of the commune of Lemba, Jean Nsaka, accompanied by the health brigade of his municipality, continued, on Saturday, the round of works related to sanitation called « Zero Fulu ». in the Mandradele and Molé districts and on the By pass road, as part of the implementation of the « Kinshasa Bopeto » operation initiated by the governor of the city of Kinshasa, Gentiny Ngobila Mbaka. According to Mr. Nsaka, this operation consists in the evacuation of rubbish piled up on the various public roads which litter and contribute to the pollution of the environment.

 “We have resolved together with my administration to remove the garbage cans located in the different corners of the Lemba neighborhoods to avoid material damage during the rainy season. Most of the population leaves the rubbish piled up and then dumped in the gutters. This incivility is the basis of all disastrous situations,” he lamented. Mayor Nsaka warned « any recalcitrant who will throw rubbish in the gutters and he will pay a fine ranging from 100 to 1,000 dollars for having contributed to the destruction of the environment ». In addition, the communal health brigade of Lemba proceeded to the cleaning of the roadway, to the manual cleaning of gutters on the sidewalk, to the renewal of the paint on the border at the « sub-region » and « Kiyimbi » it is stopped.
