Butembo: A MONUSCO relocation plan presented to the population


Beni, August 22th, 2022 (CPA).  The police mayor of Butembo city, in Nord Kivu province, the principal superior commissioner Roger Mowa Baeki-Telly, presented a plan for the relocation of MONUSCO, of its entity to other circles, in an official press release made public on Saturday, and sent to CPA/Beni on Sunday.

According to a precise route and timetable, the urban authority indicated that on the night from Saturday August 20th to 21st, 2022, from 8 p.m. retrieve their materials.

The press release adds that from August 21st to 22th, vehicles will leave the commercial Butembo city for Lubero territory, for the same operation, while on the night of August 22th, 2022, there will be displacement from Lubero to Goma by the airway, via a helicopter.

On the night from 22th to 23th, of the same month, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., continued the mayor of Butembo, there will be movement of 15 MONUSCO vehicles which will leave from Lubero to Rwindi.

Finally, on the night from August 23th to 24th, 2022, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., vehicles will move from Rwindi to Kiwanja, in Rutshuru territory. CPA/
