Kinshasa, September 7th, 2022 (CPA) – The NGO « AmaniKwetu » launched on Wednesday in the municipality of Ngaliema, the operation to identify 11 presidents of the Binza Meteo health areas development committee (Presicodef) in anticipation of the sensitization next October of the inhabitants of this part of the capital to the fight against pregnancies in schools and gender-based violence. The president of this Nonprofit organization, Patricia Phanzu Manzambi, said that this one-day operation will allow her organization to follow the progress of work in the field for each Presicodef committed to carrying out various projects relating to the fight against pregnancies early childhood and gender-based violence, particularly for young people. « We plan to build the capacity of all these people identified in this area so that next October, we will be able to go to the field to raise awareness among students about the fight against teenage pregnancies in schools and gender-based violence in Binza Meteo health zone,” she said.
In addition, Ms. Phanzu recalled that last May, her NGO had already organized training on entrepreneurship and empowerment for young girls and women, while granting participants a business fund thanks to in support of the NGO “Aksantys” based in France.
For his part, the president of the communal development committee of Binza Meteo, Michel Kabu expressed the wish to accompany the NGO AmaniKwetu on the ground with regard to its objectives aimed in particular at community development in general. He took this opportunity to ask this NGO to equip the presidents of the development committee of the Binza Meteo health areas with raincoats, umbrellas and boots, in order to enable them to do the job better.
