Kananga, September 11th, 2022 (CPA).- The price of gasoline has fallen on the Kananga market since the second half of last August, dropping from 4,800 to 3,700 Congolese Francs per liter at the pump and 3,800 Congolese Francs at street vendors, noted CPA.
The various service stations are invaded by consumers, particularly motorbike taxi drivers, it is reported. Economic operators in the oil sector attributed this situation to the renewal of their stocks after a few months of shortage due to transport problems by river or rail. However, public transport users have deplored the attitudes of drivers who continue to maintain the price before per race as in the period of scarcity, 800 to 1,000 Congolese Francs from one municipality to another. They asked the economic services and other competent authorities to get involved to put an end to this anarchy.
