Stéphanie Miley, who was accompanied by the Director of USAID, discussed with Professor Modeste Bahati on the alignment of the law on human trafficking in the calendar of matters to be dealt with during the next session, although essentially budgetary.
According to an authorized source from the office of the President of the Senate, Professor Bahati Lukwebo also met, the same day, with the Ambassador of DRC to the People’s Republic of China, François Balumuene.
The latter maintained that he sensitizes Chinese companies to come and invest in DRC, especially in the agricultural field, in order to participate, he said, in the vision of the Head of State Felix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, in its plan to diversify the Congolese economy.
In addition, Bahati Lukwebo conferred with a delegation from the East African Community (EAC) including Ms. Dorothée Masirika and Amelia Ninganza, on the sidelines of their participation in the latest work of the Economic Commission of this sub-regional organization. in Kinshasa.
The two guests of the President of the Senate made, on this occasion, an update on the progress of the said works which resulted, in particular, in the signing of the agreement on the status of the regional force to participate in the pacification of the eastern part. of DRC.
