Establishment of the monitoring and evaluation committee of the Brazzaville-Kinshasa bridge-road-rail project


Kinshasa, September 14th, 2022 (CPA) – The Minister in charge of Regional Integration and Franco phony, Didier Mazenga Mukanzu and the Minister in charge of International Cooperation, for the promotion of public-private partnership of the Republic of Congo, Dennis Christel Sassou Nguesso co-chaired, on Monday, a working session in Kintele in Republic of Congo (RC), on the establishment of the monitoring and evaluation committee of the Pont-route-Rail Brazzaville/Kinshasa project, learned CPA in a press release from the Ministry of Regional Integration and Franco phony received on Tuesday at CPA.

The two heads of delegations instructed the steering committee to set up sectorial technical committees which will each deal with specific matters of the roadmap.

The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to translate into concrete action the resolutions and recommendations resulting from the 12th session of DRC-RC Joint Commission.

The two parties agreed to convene, in Brazzaville, the first meeting of the steering committee, within 21 days, thus, October 5th, 2022, to assess the execution of the roadmap for the 12th ordinary session of the Joint Grand Committee.

The construction of this bridge will strengthen trade between the two neighbouring countries, it is reported.
